Firestopping
Rockwool Firestopping
Fire stopping & penetration sealing is the process of maintaining the performance of fire resisting walls, floors and roofs which have been compromised by services or voids.
Rockwool have one of the most comprehensive ranges of fully tested and assessed fire stopping solutions for a wide variety of penetrations and substrates. Rockwool's fire stopping solutions have been fire tested and assessed for up to four hours and cover penetrations through plasterboard or blockwork, for wall or floor applications, where pipes, cables or ducts are passing through openings of up to 2.4m x 2.88m apertures.
For the first time Rockwool has brought together its range of fire tested solutions in a single technical manual. Fire stopping technical manual has been created with the contractor in mind. Simple look-up tables help find the appropriate solution for the opening which requires a particular penetration seal, whilst the installation drawing will give the precise details of how to install those products to achieve the fire rating.
