3rd party approvals
As members of the Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP), Rockwool actively supports the use of appropriately and independently tested products which are subject to on-going scrutiny by third party certification schemes.
- LPCB Approval
Rockwool have chosen to submit their Fire Test reports and assessments for Ablative Coated Batt penetration seals for verification by the Loss Prevention Certification Board - one of the leading bodies for 3rd party approval. LPCB have issued Certificate 022b/6 in support of their approval of Rockwool’s Fire Test assessment. Further details can be found at www.redbooklive.com

The ASFP have developed a series of documents that address the important aspects of fire stopping and can be downloaded from their website www.asfp.org.uk They include the ASFP Red Book (3rd edition). The Red Book provides a wealth of technical guidance on fire stopping best practice, as well as details of 3rd party approved fire stopping products and systems.
Rockwool fire stopping products are listed in the ASFP Red Book, supported by the LPCB 3rd party approval.
