Reduce, reuse, recycle

  • Rockwool has set ambitious targets to continuously improve its environmental impact
  • To help offset the energy used during production, reduce the use of virgin raw material and minimise waste, Rockwool has invested heavily in processes which allow us to reduce, reuse and recycle.

To further expand out capacity to recycle stone wool, we opened a new recycling facility at our plant in South Wales in August 2008 at a cost of more than €7million.

We are happy to discuss the individual requirements of contractors and other users considering returning Rockwool material to our factory to be recycled. Please email enquiries to customer.support@rockwool.co.uk
