Converting our own by-products
- Redundant materials returned from site, and various by-products from the manufacturing process, are converted into ‘briquettes’
- These briquettes currently form approximately 30% of the cupola furnace charge
The new recycling facility at our Bridgend plant is capable of meeting growing customer demand for recycling over the foreseeable future, and demonstrates Rockwool’s commitment to recycling on a much larger scale.
We are happy to discuss the individual requirements of contractors and other users considering returning Rockwool material to our factory to be recycled.
